Annual grant helping Yukoners aged 65 or older pay heating and electricity costs. The maximum is $1,382.58 in Whitehorse and $1,466.50 outside Whitehorse; the amount decreases with net income and ends at $154,206 for a single person and $217,470 for a couple.
Eligibility conditions
Reside in an eligible province (YT)
Be at least 65 years old
Net family income under $217,470
How to apply
Apply between July 1 and December 31; incomplete or late applications are refused.
Attach the previous year's CRA notice of assessment: the grant amount depends on net income.
Have lived in Yukon at least 12 months, including 183 days in the year, at least 3 of them during the heating season.
