Without the cap, the basic pick-up rate billed to a Saskatchewan resident with a valid health card runs from $245 to $325, plus a waiting time rate of $50 to $100 an hour.

How to apply
Be 65 or older and hold a valid Saskatchewan health card.
Show the health card to the ambulance service: the $135 cap is applied to billing.
Interfacility transfers within the province are covered.
