Taxable monthly pension paid for life from age 60 to people who contributed to the Québec Pension Plan, the plan that replaces the Canada Pension Plan in Quebec. For people who applied in 2026: $490 a month on average at 60 ($965 at most), $731 on average at 65 ($1,508 at most) and $1,161 on average at 72 ($2,394 at most). Only employment earnings above $3,500 a year count in the calculation.

How to apply
Apply to Retraite Québec: the pension is never paid automatically.
Choose a start age between 60 and 72: the pension is reduced by 0.5% to 0.6% a month before 65 and increased after, for life.
