$400 monthly benefit paid to an unpaid caregiver who provides at least 20 hours of assistance per week to a low-income Nova Scotia adult with a high level of disability or impairment confirmed through a continuing care assessment.
Eligibility conditions
Reside in an eligible province (NS)
Be at least 19 years old
Have a dependant with a disability
How to apply
Contact Continuing Care for a referral and assessment of the adult receiving care.
Confirm both the care recipient and caregiver live in Nova Scotia and are 19 or older.
Sign the program agreement; the caregiver must not already be paid to provide this assistance.
