Monthly benefit added for life to the CPP retirement pension for each year of contributions made while already receiving it. In 2026 the maximum new benefit at 65 is $54.69 per month, that is 1/40 of the maximum retirement pension; the average for new beneficiaries is $25.76. It is for people aged 60 to 70 who are working and still contributing.

How to apply
No application: the benefit is added automatically for each year you contribute while receiving your retirement pension.
Between 65 and 70 you can choose to stop post-retirement contributions; they stop in any case at 70.
Check the CPP statement of contributions: each year contributed creates a separate new benefit.
