Quebec's last-resort financial assistance for people with a SEVERELY limited capacity for employment — the more generous stream compared with ordinary social assistance. The monthly benefit shown on the official page is $1,318. Excluded work income is $200 a month for a single person; above that the benefit is reduced by the excess, then 25% of that excess is added back.
Eligibility conditions
Reside in an eligible province (QC)
Be at least 18 years old
Have a recognized severe and prolonged impairment
Net family income under $23,488
How to apply
Apply for last-resort financial assistance through Services Québec and provide the medical report attesting the severe employment constraint.
Report your work income every month: the first $200 are excluded for a single person.
Report any change in family situation, income or housing.
