British Columbia's assistance of last resort, paid in two parts: a support allowance based on household composition — $560 a month for an employable single person under 65, $860 at 65 or older, $955 for a couple — and a shelter allowance of at most $500 for one person and $840 for four.
Eligibility conditions
Reside in an eligible province (BC)
Be at least 19 years old
Net family income under $22,740
How to apply
Apply online through the B.C. Employment and Assistance program.
Show that you lack sufficient resources; a work search is normally required of employable people.
Report your household composition and actual shelter cost: both parts of the rate table depend on them.
