Provincial refundable tax benefit that helps Saskatchewan families pay registration fees for eligible sport, recreation or culture activities. Starting in 2025, up to $300 per child, or $400 if the child is DTC-eligible, for families with adjusted income of $120,000 or less.
Eligibility conditions
Reside in an eligible province (SK)
Have one or more eligible dependent children
Net family income under $120,000
How to apply
Pay eligible registration or membership fees for a sport, recreation or culture activity offered by a Saskatchewan-based provider.
File the Saskatchewan income tax return and complete the Active Families Benefit section.
Keep receipts for six years; equipment, uniforms and school-curriculum activities are not eligible.
