Fixed monthly pension of $307.81 in 2026 paid for EACH minor child of a deceased person who contributed sufficiently to the Québec Pension Plan. It is paid to the person who supports the child, until the child turns 18, and is taxable in the child's income.

Eligible family status (widowed)
Have one or more eligible dependent children
How to apply
File the application with Retraite Québec: retroactivity is capped at 12 months.
The pension is paid on the last working day of the month and ends when the child turns 18.
If a surviving spouse's pension is already paid, both pensions come in a single monthly payment.
