Weekly benefits for people away from work because they are pregnant or have recently given birth (up to 15 weeks) and for parents of a newborn or newly adopted child. Standard parental benefits pay 55% of insurable earnings, up to $729 per week; extended benefits pay 33%, up to $437 per week. Quebec pays its own benefits through the QPIP instead.
