Private-sector occupational therapist fees can be reimbursed up to $500, out of the available assistance. The money is paid to the owner of the home.
Eligibility conditions

Have a recognized severe and prolonged impairment
How to apply
The work must be permanent, fixed to the building, and reduce barriers to entering, leaving and reaching the essential rooms of the home.
Apply to the Société d'habitation du Québec; review usually takes a few weeks.
The grant funds adaptation work, never renovation work: the owner pays the difference if the cost exceeds the grant.
