Alberta program funding medical equipment and supplies for a person with a long-term disability. The client pays 25% of the cost of covered benefits, up to a maximum of $500 per family per benefit year (1 July to 30 June). The cost-share is WAIVED for taxable income of at most $20,970 (single person), $33,240 (family with no children) or $39,250 (family with children). Respiratory benefits never carry a cost-share.

Eligibility for items is established by an authorized health professional.
Apply for the cost-share exemption with the Application for Cost-Share Exemption form, based on line 26000 of the most recent income tax return.
People 65 and over pay no cost-share on prosthetic and orthotic benefits.
